THE NEWS:
NEW ALBUM “THIS MIGHT BE A COVER ALBUM” RELEASED! The bees are back, with a 23-track tribute album dedicated to famed Twin Quasars of Rock, They Might Be Giants! The 23-song tracklist is a wonderful demonstration of both They Might Be Giants and Bees With Chainsaws’ versatility in production and performance. Guest artists Curtis Cook (Vocalist and Guitarist for The Dharmites) and PotaJoe also make appearances. More info and download here
THE BEES HIT THE ROAD! Starting July 12th, The Bees With Chainsaws will be touring local hives and clubs in support of the new record “This Might Be A Cover Album“! They’ll also often be visiting the famed Barinka club.
MR. SKELETON TAKES OFF? Last saturday at beeswithchainsaws HQ, Apple the Bee (Lead composer and singer of Bees With Chainsaws) was heard in a heated argument with Lead Keyboardist Mr. Cool Skeleton! Apples comments on the situation: “He’s dead to me. I don’t wanna talk about it.“ “I’ll never eat corn flakes again“ Trombonist for the group Jimmy Two-hands says they’re considering famed musician Bongos Johnson to replace Mr. Skeleton.
LIVE AT THE MUSIC STATION! Earlier in the month, the Bees With Chainsaws booked a gig at famed night club-airport hybrid establishment The Music Station. They had 2 sets, the second being the This Might Be A Cover Album release show which was broadcast on YouTube (Can be listened to here.) Set 1 unfortunately wasn’t broadcasted or recorded in its entirety, however 1 song was recorded and as a special treat for you, traveller, you can download it FREE in the Downloads section here! A stellar performance of “Waffle of Death“ by Logan Whitehurst, showcasing Apple the Bees vocal range, Mr. Skeletons wonderful keyboarding on his famed custom “Checkersmaster“ Casio SA-76, and Skringle Jimmy’s stellar drumwork!
